Guess What I Found.

Seriously, you need to go through your attic, basement, or storage container. There may be some really fascinating treasures hiding away in a box that you haven’t laid eyes on in years.

In recent weeks I’ve found a bunch of books I almost forgot were in my possession. One of the latest finds, a comic book of Hunter S. Thompson’s book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Yeah, I know it’s not that old, but I seriously forgot I ever owned it.

To change the subject a moment, I want to know, how are you balancing your writing time with the rest of your life? I’m spending a lot of time trying to find efficiency in every aspect of my life. Example: considering I spend anywhere from two to three hours in the car each day I’m catching up on a lot of audiobooks. I’m also doing some writing.

Before you think I’m one of the crazy, irresponsible drivers on the road, I’m NOT writing while I drive, not really. I’ve started using the memo app on my iPhone to record myself telling the stories and essays I want to write. It’s useful. Actually, it’s allowing me the chance to finish a lot of work.

Well, I have to get back to writing. Hope you are feeling productive.

I'm blessed. Most of my professional career, almost 20 years, I've spent as a journalist. Some of it was in print, a little in television, but most of it in radio. I've worked with some wonderfully talented producers and directors in those two decades. It would take pages to elaborate on all of the experiences I've had as a reporter, producer and host. Needless to say they include opportunities talking with leaders of state, religious leaders, civic leaders, writers, artists and entertainers. The last couple decades have been a lot of fun. But, the next couple decades will be far better.
